I have been training and helping others build a bond with their dogs for over 20 years. I believe that the right start is important for all dogs to become a welcome addition to any family. Through proactive and thoughtful exposure we empower our puppies to have confidence and feel safe in the world.  I help coach people to do this by using scientifically proven positive methods to train new behaviours and build sound foundation skills, this way we have dogs that are active learners with manners that are welcome anywhere and can do anything!

What I Offer

For over 10 years now I have been offering Head Start Puppy boarding and private training and consulting.  I am a Puppy Start Right Instructor and offer Puppy Start Right Classes,  Next Step - Pups in the Park,  FUNdamentals (older pups and adult dog), Scent Detection, Rally Obedience Classes and as a Canine Good Neighbour Evaluator for the Canadian Kennel Club I offer CGN Prep classes and evaluations.   .

More About Me

 I have volunteered my time as a helper and/or coach with Campbell River Dog Fanciers, Roadsters Agility Club and CRK9FX Flyball Group.  As president of VIPEG Barn Hunt Group I had the opportunity to work with a great bunch of ladies from  the north island, we (VIPEG) hosted the first of many Barn Hunt trials and workshops on Vancouver Island.   In 2013, a business partner and I organized and started scent detection classes and trials on Vancouver Island.  And this year I have the pleasure of working with a small group of terrier lovers and and host Earthdog practice events and trials.

I love to learn and enjoy watching dogs and their people build amazing relationships!  Over time I have been able to work on understanding the connections and skills that are invaluable when working with clients and their dogs.  It is a true passion and brings me great joy. 

I share my home with a senior pug, young adult lagotto romagnolo and a border terrier puppy

I truly love working and playing and spending time with my canine partners past and present. Over the last 20 years, I have titled my dogs in agility, earthdog, flyball, freestyle, rally obedience, scent detection, Barn Hunt, and Trick Dog. We've even given disc dog and dock diving a go.  I can hardly wait to see what new adventures lay ahead!
